My golden retriever was first prescribed Pyneobarbatol for his seizures and took it for approx. 2 weeks. He was still very sedated and we noticed that he had some effects that would resembel liver affect, We brought him to the vet and was told that he should stop taking this immediatly as his leiver enzymes were elevated. The vet prescribed Potasium bromide and that was two days ago. We see no noticible improvement he is lethargic, wont eat and is week. The vet said wait at least three to four days but we are getting more worried by the day. Will these side effects wear off soon?

potassium bromide warning
please be very carful with potassium bromide I lost my little Epi -Tad as it caused her to develope a stomach ulcer which started to bleed and killed her within 4 day's. I know they say this drug is safe but in fact it not as safe as you think. no drug is fool proof and this one certainley is not. it may be safer on the liver than phenobarb but the other effect's can be just as bad and do as much damage so please be carful. I learned the hard the way hopfully you won't have to.
