My genealogical research on Samuel H Gifford and his father, Nehemiah Gifford, indicate both were born in McKenna, New York. I can not find any village, hamlet, etc named McKenna. It might be near the Vermont border as Samuel H. married Caroline Leslie from Vermont in 1833.
I would appreciate knowing its location. Thank you.
