My father came from Arbroath and when my sister and I were growing up (1940s, 50s)our aunt in Arbroath used to send us "The Peoples' Journal" so that Dad could keep up with the news. We very much enjoyed the serialised classics (Kidnapped, Catriona, Treasure Island etc) which were a regular feature of the paper.
Recently, when on holiday in Scotland, a friend told me she thought these were eventually published in book form. Is this the case and if so are they still in print and where can I get them?
