My Type 99 has a jamed bolt. I took the rifle completely apart, but I can not get the bolt assembly unstuck. The Bolt Handle is pointing straight up and the notch on the Safety knob is also pointing straight up, both at the “12:00 o’clock” position. I can move the bolt handle a bit from the vertical, 12:00 o’clock to about the 1:00 o’clock position (viewed from the breech) and back again, and that is the only movement I can get out of it. The Safety knob is jammed and it does not move when I move the bolt handle up or down. When the Bolt Handle is straight up vertical, I can push in the safety knob just maybe a millimeter or two . . . and that’s all I can get any of the “action” to move.

I figured that if someone on this forum can’t help me un-jam this and get the bolt out, then it’s a lost cause and this fine new addition to my collection becomes a wall hanger or a very awkward paperweight.
