Who does not want to have children and grandchildren take care for us when we grow old? Nobody wants to be living in a cold, empty flat alone. There are lots of elderly who lives alone in our society today. They do not have the ability to look after themselves. It is our responsibility to care for these elderly.

I had joined volunteer service programs for several times. All the elderly that I had visited was very thankful and happy because they felt that there were still people who cared for them. By joining these programs, we could all enhance their living quality and also to let the elderly feel that they still have respect in the community.

It is not difficult to spend a little bit of your time to help these elderly in need. All you have to do is to get out of this chair, spend less time on facebook, msn, or twitter, and go join a voluntary service program. I am sure that there are various organizations that provide elderly services in your local community. All you have to do is take the first step now to help those elderly in need.
