My 2001 Chevy prism is burning about 1 to 1.5 Qts. of motor oil 5w 30w every 1000 miles. The car runs fine , ( some lifter noise ) 145.000 miles on it. My machanic says to change to Mobil 15w 50w synthetic if I don't get the problem repaired. What do you think ?
