I am really interested about the incident of Mustafa Mahmoud park in 2005. I was wondering what was the main goal behind the protest? Is it because the refugees wanted to have their rights?? Or did it include other tangible reasons like the refugees' desire to regain and recover back their identity that they have lost in Egypt?? And so they picked to create this physical space in order to create the small and peaceful society that they have wished to live in inside Egypt??
I am really wondering what are the successes and the failures of the protest? If there are any successes, what are they? And what are the reasons behind the failure????

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me about this, especially if he had studied about the refugees in Cairo or is a refugee himself who participated in the demonstration or anyone who has information about this issue that could help me answer my questions.
