I was drilling a near vertical well (12deg inclination), at 5500ft as I picked off bottom to orient tool face, I observed pressure increase of 900psi above drilling pressure. on pulling out of hole, we discovered the mud motor has parted between the power section and the bearing section. leaving in hole the bearing section and the bit.
I later discovered a huge misalignment between the top drive and rotary table???
