Cubic zirconium is formed by compressing coal in a machine that simulates the millions of years it takes for real diamonds to form. We are also aware that natural gas is formed by the compression of dead organisms (dinosuars, early bacteria, etc.). So who's o say the idea of compressing dead bodies of people and animals in the machine used to make cubic zirconium won't work to form a faster form of natural gas? It's a non-renewable resoure, after all.
