Around about 1997 I was in a re-hab in Kent, and one day this really humble and gentle guy arrived. I of course being in my late 30's knew who he was. Gerry. Man I really felt for him and sensed a lot of turmoil not dissimilar to my own. Sadly Gerry's stay was brief, and my attempts to 'clean and sober up' came to nought. Still I've never forgot meeting him and often wonder how he is.
