I am currently involved in a research project leading up to philatelic commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Secession Attempt by McDonald County, Missouri that happened in 1961. Although most describe it merely as a publicity stunt, many old-timers were and still are very serious about the events, which included much animosity toward the State of Missouri.
