In the immediate aftermath of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Drabble wrote of the anticipated wave of anti-Americanism, saying "My anti-Americanism has become almost uncontrollable. It has possessed me, like a disease. It rises up in my throat like acid reflux, that fashionable American sickness. I now loathe the United States and what it has done to Iraq [what has Iraq done to his enemies and to its dissenters?] and the rest of the helpless world", despite "remembering the many Americans that I know and respect." She wrote of her distress at images of the war[I guess she forgot the images of American soldiers dying at the hands of the Muslims as well as the gruesome images of the 911 jumpers], her objections to Jack Straw about the Guantanamo Bay detention camp [the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay were terrorists and they needed to be interrogated to avoid further attacks], and "American imperialism [that is a joke, the British and other European countries are the Imperialists, they invaded half of the world], American infantilism, and American triumphalism about victories it didn't even win [ America did win World War 2 and it was not even our war, Britain would have starved to death without American intervention before Hitler even invaded, it was the British who were the bullies and started wars for centuries]" She recalled George Orwell's words in Nineteen Eighty-Four about "the intoxication of power" and "the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless [Remember the Boar War, invasion of India and other provinces? And Iraq and other Muslim countries are hardly innocent, BTW Muslim dictators use their own people as human shields]. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face [no Hitler tried to do that, not us] – for ever." She closed by saying, "I hate feeling this hatred. I have to keep reminding myself that if Bush hadn't been elected (so narrowly) [JFK was narrowly elected as well as Clinton, BTW Clinton only won because the conservative votes were split between Ross Perot and George Bush, Senior], we wouldn't be here [If Clinton did not sit and his hands and do nothing in the 1990s about terrorism, we would not be here] ,and none of this would have happened. There is another America. Long live the other America, and may this one pass away soon."[3]

[The British, enabled by the BBC and other leftist regimes are the cause of this anti-Americanism. The British and other Western European countries are taught a revisionist history that only shows America in a bad light. BBC news is pro-Palestine and anti-Israel, and other left-wing biases are being demonstrated continually. European forgets or is not taught that America has given untold billions of dollars in aid to poor countries and has helped topple terrorists and dictators that kill helpless people and truly invade other countries. Muslim even kill their own without remorse. If a Muslim women is raped, she will then be killed by her own family because she brought shame to her family. These Europeans need to realize who their real enemy is, and it is not the USA.]
