53 MORE PERSIAN WORDS AT THE END OF THIS PAGE

if you google for "avesta cognates" (there is a website with a chart of 75 avestan words similar to English words), or "Dictionary of most common avesta words" , interestingly you will find that those avestan words are too similar to today's English words , like these avestan words : year (yare) ,arm (arema), you (yuzh), he (he) ,we (vae) ,fresh (frasha) , win (van) , three (thri) , gape (gapa) ,path (pathan) , now ( nû), not (nôit) ..and many more....these similarities are mind-boggling , specially considering the distance between Iran and England...of course other languages like Latvian and lithuanian have a lot of similar words with avestan and sanskrit languages too.
My resources : Google translate , Wiktionary (translations part of every word in wiktionary has translation of each word almost in all languages), also many other sources, also i have discovered many of these words connections by myself...

Hi, i am 65 , BA in economics 1971 pahlavi university , this is my hobby,.. i don't know what kind of help i can ask you for, other than a real avestan , pahlavi or "old persian" or " middle persian" dictionary or word list ,if they exist at all , of course i don't mean for free ... i feel it is very hard to find more similar words than these 170 words already i have compiled...but i keep searching...my point of gathering these words is this : i feel the direction of movement of indo-european words or rather direction of movement of aryan people is from east to west , i mean from iran area to europe and not from west and russia to iran....i have a lot of examples in these 170 words,... just as an example , word # 167 :
167 WHO IS , persian : kist , or ki-yeh , in isfahan province = ki-es , french : qui est ( ki-yeh) , italian : chi è ( ki-yeh) , portuguese : que está ( kista ) , "who is this ? " in french = Qui est-ce ? ( ki-es ),....listen to these pronounciations on "google translate" , strangely they sound like persian or iranian !........italians didn't come to iran, teaching iranians to say ki-yeh for "who is", portugese didn't come to iran to teach the word kista to iranians ...so this means in ancient times, iranians migrated to europe up to italy and france and portugal and took the word of ki-yeh and kist with themselves...and no slavic countries say ki-yeh, no greeks say ki-yeh, so we can't say aryans came from slavic lands or greece to europe and iran , and brought the word ki-yeh with themselves to iran and europe...this is one example, there are many examples like this in these 170 words...by the way i have put these words on several other websites too. youtube ( username drycity ) ,also on youtube i have 32 music videos by username " manooch ", by googling one of the earlier "words descriptions "on that list you can find other websites too....sorry about this long reply...that's all and thanks for your interest

p.s. : astually i forgot to say there IS an avestan dictionary online, with this title "Dictionary of most common AVESTA words", i have a lot of such dictionaries online since some years ago , like sanskrit and others on my long list of bookmarks...i am going to put all of them in one folder not to forget them again...but still if you have something different ,i am interested...thanks
