Lew Perkins, who resigned as athletic director at KU less than 10 months after Mangino left, totally forced Mangino out of a job to cover up for his own short comings.

It's well documented that Perkins had issues, and Mangino was treated unfairly after leading Kansas to their best football season in school history in 2007.
