Mrs. Maheswari Venkitaraman is No.1 Artist hailing from South India in the musical instrument Veena a visually challenged started carrierof recital since the age of twelve accumulaated lot of awarads in childhood like Dhanammal Memorial award and prestegious awards recently honoured as Kalaisudarmani, nadavoli, veenakalanidhi, sirandapenmani, a best employee of state govearnment sishyai of Tirupanandal shanmugasundaramillai, Kamala Ashwathama, Kalpagam Swaminathan, T.N. Sesha Gopalan and a layaexponent in the country Mr. J. Venkataraman of Trichy serving in All India Radio, Madurai 1992 and graded up to A since 1996. Actually first blind and very efficient veena artist in India is Mrs. Maheswari Venkitaraman who is now going to recite at naada neeranjanam in Tirupathi live telecast on 2nd july 2010 between 6 and 8pm in the evening. Please oblige her a suitable award a visually challenged intellect. Some of the sabhas at Trivandrum is showing paratiality and a recital concert has not yet been given simply because she is a visually challenged viz. Swathithirunal Sangeetha Sabha and at Chembai Smarakam at the Main timings. I request you to take please stern action, visually challenged lady needs justice.

I saw Mrs. Maheswari Venkitaraman and have been listening her concert she is really a great vainika being a visually challenged it is our duty each and every Indian citizen to encourage her skill and also give her a concert at Trivandrum sabhas like swathi thirunal sangeetha sabha and chembai smarakam, the secretary of these sabhas violating rules and showing partially to that extent. I am also a native of Trivandarum. One visually challenged A grade veena artist needs justice. Since she has been at stage from her childhood of twelve years and awarded Kalai Sudarmani, Nada Voli, Veena Kalanidhi it is apt to recommend foar Sangeethnatak Academy award considering desability in vision and her skilfull recital in Veena.
