Looking at buyin an XJS fro the original owner. It has 62,000 original miles on it and is in 'restorable' condition. My only concern is that when I took it for a test drive today it was shifting late into third. Very late in fact. I had to overrev the engine and then it woul 'jump' into third. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be? Bands? Linkage?
