Gregory of Tours is questioned for not mentioning King Guntrum's death in his work the Histories. Guntum died in 593, whereas Gregory finished his epilouge dated in 594. I've reread his epliouge that states he finished his book in the fifteenth year of King Childebert's, and the thirty-third year in King Guntrum's reign. This date would make it 594, so my question is where do we have the information of King Guntrum's death in 593, and could that source be wrong and Gregory is right?
