I have been doing some research for a play about Jim Garrison and although I believe sincerely that Clay Shaw was innocent I believe that Garrison was deceived in the worst way by someone that he trusted. In doing this research I discovered his sincere dedication to stamping out official corruption and helping the minority residents of New Orleans fight for their civil rights. The other thing that amazes me about Jim Garrison is that although he suffered with chronic fatigue throughout his adult life he was a larger than life presence in New Orleans and was as honest as he could be.
