It has finally discovered after months of antibiotics that I have a Staph epidermidis in my sinus. I was operated on and it was cleaned out and came back a month later. I have been on meds since Feburary when it all started. The dr. has now put me on a sulpher drug for 14 days. Should I see and infectious disease dr. regarding this. I am afraid this will return. How many meds can I continually be on? Whan are the effects of this problem if it doesn't clear up completely. Right now the discharge from one side of my nose is horrible.
