Is there any supportable hard evidence, apart from hearsay, that confirm Lord Stanley with plotting against Richard 111 before he married the future Henry v11 mother?

Is there any supportable hard evidence that he himself have any desire to overthrow - or plot with others - Richard 111 and claim the crown for himself, before he married Tudor's mother?

Why did he leave it so seemingly at the last possible moment to come to Henry's aid just as Richard was on the point of beating him?

After the battle did he see himself as a Kingmaker (as in warwick) given his direct role in Richard's downfall and therefore expect more from Henry therefter because of that?

When and what reasons (and with whom) did he begin to plot against Henry and what did he expect to gain from doing so?
