logically a boy and girl of same gotra should not marry as per hindu rules.
But is western up (areas near bijnaur ) i have seen chauhans marrying chauhans, which is not correct.


Reason for this nobody know, need a lot of research

Asssumption 1) around 500yrs back rajputs migrated from rajasthan to western up. That time means of communication were very limited. so that time i assume that there was lot of difficulty in making relations with people of rajasthan.
So to make their life easy , then bend down some of rules . Now new rule says that 2 chauhans of different village can marry.

Assumption 2) there is alwasy lot of ego issues between rajputs in all history. every rajput consider himself as highest rajputs.. so back in history rajputs from rajasthan always considered themselves as superior and others inferior or sometimes they dont consider western up rajputs as rajputs... this enviroment have forced chauhans to marry within themselves.

Assumptions 3) chauhan who marry chauhan are self claimed rajputs , which other rajputs don't recognise. that had made them to marry with themselves.

So decide urself!!!!!!!!!!!

According to rules pf rajputana it is wrong , a girl and boy of same rajput community are brother and sister as once before few generation it is a family of same rajput.
It will be unsocial and wrong

according to rules no two same rajputs can marry each other e.g , a nagvanshi can't marry with nagvanshi, a rathore can't marry with rathore, as there forefathers r same they r like bro. and sisters , so similarly a chauhan can't marry with chauhan ,in some parts of bijnore they marry like this nd other rajputs don't recognize them as rajput's

i love a girl but unfortunetly she is chouhan n i m also chouhan n we need to marry . but as i heard that chouhan boy cant marry wid chouhan girl.
but there is one condition i found that for kuldevi puja in nav ratra we do astmi pujan n they do navami pujan so is this point cn matters for us to marry.

I totally diagree with the views about the chauhans found in west UP and majorly near the Bijnor, see first we have to under stand the who chauhans are there is lot of confunsion between the chaunhan gotra and chauhan clan ..
see if your gotra is chauhan then you must not marry other chauhan girl but chauhan is a clan also means it consists many gotras in them.. for example the khushwaha, vats, akhiyan, etc are major chauhan gotras.. now one khushwaha who is also chauhan can marry in the vats who is also chauhan..
so please stop the confusion......

so wht if both gal n guy r chauhan bt belong to diffrnt gotras,,, are dere any convincing logics wich cn b given to their families?????
