Is there any information on any illegitimate children of any of the Stevenson family? My great grandfather, was a remittance child, apparently born from a famous Stevenson family who were architects. My great grandfathers name was William Gordon Johnston and he would have been born in the late 1800's, he was raised by a woman called Annie Johnston and he went to South Africa to fight in the Boer War as a young man and stayed on there. I would love to try and find more information! My gran is his only child.
