Is anyone familiar with a Dr. W. Menzel who served on the cruiser Emden? A few years back I purchased a 1934 Mauser pistol. Both the gun and holster have naval markings. Further the gun has a O naval property mark indicating Baltic Sea. Inscribed inside the holster flap is: Dr. W. Menzel, Emden. Any info would be appreciated.
