James was a friend of mine from elementary school and into high school. Though we were not as good of friends in high school we used to hang out at each others houses in the younger grades. I remember his dad showing hours of flash gordon movies when I came over. He was a real nice guy. James was an awesome artist. I remember him filling notebooks with science fiction drawings that had incredible detail. When we graduated, I lost touch with him. I know he had some problems. I heard when he was in college he committed suicide. I wish that we had remained closer.
