In the 60's I spent two weeks as a young girl in the Heiden Kinderheim. I was about 8 years old. It was in the summer, I was sent there for holiday and it was run by a jewish coupl who's name I do not recall any more. I would like to visite the place with my husband and show him the place i have alot of nostalgic memories.
I will be very greatful if anybody could tell me if the Heim still exists as such; what is the adress? is it possible to visit the place and all additional information about this Heim. If it is no more a Heim or it was closed down I would still like very much to see the building again. Is there someone who can help ?

Me too! In the mid 70s i spent a little over a year in the Kinderheim-Wartheim as it was called then. I also spent a summer there too. The couples name was Krohl dont remember the first name. The address is Thalerstrasse 49 9410 Heiden, Switzerland. I went to visit there about 12 years ago and the place was converted to private residences. Still has the same look from the outside. Even the stables is a residential home now. I spent my first year of school there. Any more questions you can email me fink.007@hotmail.com

I lived ther for allmost ten years, from mid 61 until the end of 70. the first couple was neufeld Mauri and his wife Toni. Family Krul came only at mid 67.
Yes the place changed years ago.

Hallo, I also stayed in Heiden in the mid 70. I still remember Abba Krul and his two sons.
I'm searching for a vivian and a sonja. Did you know them? We were the oldest girls there.

Hi - I lived in Heiden from 68 -74 and of course I remember Abba Krul, Vivian, she is in Switzerland, Sonja, coming from Frankfurt, like me, she is living in Israel yet. It's great to find some news from heiden people :)

Hello, who ever reads this. I lived in Heiden from aprox. 1949-1950, 1 1/2 years. I very well remember the "Neufelds", I loved them very much,my G,d it,s so long ago! Although I travelled to Switzerland several times, I never went back to Heiden. I,m very much surprised reading about the Kinderheim Wartheim after so many many years.Thank you for remembering this place.

Hi Awiwa, I remember 'Neufeld' only from 'telling' about them. I was 10 years later there - so also for me it is very exciting to hear something about Wartheim.Usually it's a big secret... .

You was End of 40 there, right? During my time, spend there from 68-74, also a girl named Sonja was in Wartheim; she was my neighbor in Frankfurt, and of course in Kinderheim. Today she lives in Israel. Regards

as I said, I was in Heiden 1950 -1951, aprox. 1 1/2 years. I don,t know whether we mention the same Sonja, I remember she was very young, but elder than myself! So if I,m not mistaken she would be aprox.85 years old or so! By the way, if you live in Frankfurt, you speak and write in the german language, so do I. That's what I mean - 'our Sonja' is 53 years young. Great that you live in Buenos Aires .... . and yep we can speak and write in german too, here, or via mail, or via fb.

Hello Aviva and Frankfurt..i never met Sonja of the early 50...only Sonja Fleischman...I left heiden in the end of 70. I knew both,,,neufeld and krull. and yes janku is my brother...

so Neufelds continued to be in Heiden, as you say you left the place end of 70. Do you have fotos from this time? It would be interesting seeing them after so many years, I left Heiden aprox. 1950 or so and no doubt we,re mentioning two different Sonja,s, regards Awiwa

Hi Mr. Harry W. after serveral month once again I had a look at this website to see whether somebody answered my question whether somebody has fotos from their Wartheim days long time ago......
