In recent years it has become a trend to have music over voices in many scenes. It is very annoying trying to decipher words over fairly loud music. Many scenes are in whisper tones that are barely audible without music over. My question is...........what is the purpose for this loss of dialogue? It dose nothing to improve the film and at times confuses the viewer as to what's going on.
I hope this is a trend that will run it's course and let viewers once again hear all the details of a scene.

I don't understand why they would put in dialogue if you're not meant to hear it.

Perhaps the music is too loud?
