In appendix IX of Volume II of Pharmacopoeia of People's Republic of China, there is an article about Test for Particulate Matter in Injection.

I have a question about (2) Particle counting.

at the end of the paragraph it says,
"The average of second and third counts should be within plus or minus 20% of the limits of number of particles"

The question is what is "the limits of number of particles"?

Is it the number of max. count possible of the particle counter?

Please if some one know the details explain it to me.
