In advance, I'm very happy to join with you.
I'm a metallurgical engineer working in the field of heat treatment of tool steels and dies, so I'm suffering from the problem of the presence of several holes and blind holes in die specially when these holes are disteributed randomly with not equal distances on the die body, so the solid material cross sections between these holes are not having the same dimensions.Hence, during heating for hardening some of thin sections between holes are suffering from overeating and may be subbjected to cracking on quenching. The heat treatment is performed in salt bath medium.
Please send me your recommendations to overcome this problem.
Many Thanks.
