In the book "Married to Islam," an assertion is made that most Moslem fundamentalists, and the terrorists who are their extreme wing, are not really practicing Islam. Instead, they are practicing an Islam that greatly expands upon the Koran itself and the first level of Ahadith.
The book claims that the inclusion of the Second level of Ahadith (never held to be of more than doubtful validity) and the third level of Ahadith (totally unproven; as factual as fairy tales) into Islamic education and tradition has skewed the Islamic world away from what Allah intended.
Your insights? Is the book correct?
