In 1960 Dr. Frank Calder MLA and a Nisga'a chief wrote the Nass River Brief. He spoke in the legislature as well about fishing problems on the Nass. That year, the number of days fishing allowed on the Nass would not support the cannery at the mouth of the river. Ultimately the number of days was increased. Would it be possible for you to supply me with a reliable reference that would support this information and detail the number of days that were ultimately allowed??
