My father also was in the R.A.S.C and evacuated from Dunkirk on the 18 june 1940 aboard a hospital ship named the 'Dorsetshire'. Destination, Southampton.where he arrived on the 20th June. I am tellng you his as I have, this week received muy father's military service file after applying to the 'Army Personnel Centre in Glasgow. You can contact them on 0141 224 2744. the service to trace files costs £30.00 but it will give you a very interesting insight to your farther's army career.Good Luck!

best Regards,
