I'm thinking about applying to Havergal College for 2010. I was wondering if there was alot of drama? Are the sports teams strong? Do the borders get along with eachother? Thanks I just want to make sure that I would fit in if I decided to go.

Hi,

I can answer part of your question. There is lots of Drama here. We have classes from grade 7 all the way to 12. We have many performances throughout the year. We have a middle school show for grades 7 & 8. There is a student written student directed one act play festival. We do another full production directed by me (I'm the Drama teacher). We also have student written docudramas every year; as well as another one act festival. There is also an improv club that meets every other Tuesday at lunch. Hope that helps you.

Boarding at Havergal is a wonderful experience with students representing countries from all over the world (16 countries this year!) As a result of a family-style structure, students have the opportunity to get to know a smaller group of peers in different grades as part of their family, while benefiting from the support and encouragement of the whole Boarding and Day School community. Students develop strong relationships and value the importance of the diversity of their peers. Boarding at Havergal offers students the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of recreational activities from sporting and theatre events, to cooking and visiting restaurants, to artistic pursuits and sight-seeing in Toronto. Boarding at Havergal College truly does become a home away from home!
