I'm preparing to do the exteior stucco on my home in the up coming months. In researching types of metal lath, I have decided to go with the "diamond" metal. I understand the furring concept on this type of lath, except for the flat daimond product. I have seen it stapled directly to the exterior, over building paper. Is there not a need to manualy fir this material away from the wall. I do realize the furred material is mainly used for soffit applications. Thanks. Shastacabins.....
