Im only new in studying carbon nanotubes, i would like to ask if ever we use an iron as our catalyst in growing CNT and methane gas and silicon wafer as substrate using cvd process could it be possible to grow a carbon nanotube??

Maybe, but the iron must be on a silicon wafer in a thinner film form and ensure iron not oxidized
