F6F Hellcat

I'm building a pair of early F6F-3 Hellcats stationed aboard Yorktown (CV10) in May or June of 1943. Can anyone tell me if the birds aboard Yorktown at that time were equipped with R2800-10 or R2800-10W engines?

The data that I have come across so far only states that "later" F6F-3s were equipped with the water alcolol boosted engines, yet the Hellcat Pilot's Manual (an original WWII Navy publication shows all Hellcats as having an anti-detonation (water-alcohol tank, pumps and plumbing) without regard to model or bureau number. The plumbing for this system is very evident in the illustration of the rear cockpit bulkhead (figure 30).

The Hellcats that I'm portraying have the early version tri-color scheme and fairings over the 50 caliber guns.

Any help here is appreciated.

Best regards,
