I'm Ashik, doing my ME degree. I m using LabVIEW and NI products for my academic project and I'm a beginner in using LabVIEW. My objective is to acquire the leakage current that is flowing through the high voltage insulator and to indicate its rise above certain level. Initially we tried to use NI PXI 5112 for acquiring it. As it cannot acquire current waveform directly, we are forced to go for some current - to - voltage conversion circuit arrangement before proceeding with the acquisition. My query here is, what are the possible ways of acquiring current signal using National Instruments Products. After acquiring the current, I need to indicate the rise of the current magnitude when it reaches certain value. How could it be done using LabVIEW? How to use the acquired current value in the LabVIEW programming option? Please help me in doing this. Thanks in advance....
