If you have a large document and you want to change a particular name throughout the entire document, is there a relatively easy way to do this?

Use the "Find and Replace" feature. On a Windows machine, Control-F should bring this up. On Mac, hit Command-F. Alternatively, double click anywhere on the little bar at the bottom of the page view of your document (where it says "Page", "Section", etc.

This should bring up a little box that says "Find and Replace". Type in the name you want to change, then click on "Replace" at the top of the little box, and type in what you want to change the original name to (e.g. under Find, type in: John Doe and under Replace With, type in: Jane Doe). You can then either go through each time Word find the original name by clicking Replace or you can do them all at once by clicking Replace All. Both of these options are located under the Replace With typing box.

Hope this helps!
