I would like to know where exactly My father grew up in the Orkney Islands his name is William Sutherland Simpson. If you can help me I would appreciate it a whole lot.My Dad has passed away and I don't know alot of the history behind him living in the Orkney Islands . I heard him singing alot of songs like kirkwall bay oh bonnie kirkwall Bay and him talking about scapa flow. He married my mother Doreen Winifred Simison and then moved to Canada about 53 years ago. My Dad used to play in the pipe band. He had to move because of his heart problems and because it was to damp in scotland for him. Please help me if you can.Thanks.
