I was wondering if anyone knows how to try and change a law. My 11 Year old daughter was sexually assaulted by her friends father who is also a neighbor. He seems to have more rights then my child. They are not going to charge him with sexual assault instead it will be simple assault. That inrages me. He is a thirty four year old man who has been doing this since he was 16 but never criminally charged. He is red flagged in DCYF computers but we the parents have no idea because the law protects him. What about all the children who these guys hurt it is like they do not matter.I am not sure I am in the right place here. I am looking for people in the same situation I am in. I want to make a diffence for the next child he WILL assault. As long as he keeps getting away with it he will continue to do so. Thank you for your time.
