Hydrangea quercifolia

I was given 6 year old, 36-42' tall Annabelle Hydrangea which I transplanted on the southside of my house in a protected location. I was given the bush was because my friend wanted to see if it would bloom. Apparently, the entire 5 years she had it, the bush never, ever bloomed. We wanted to see if it would do better at my house and bloom for me. It would get green buds with one or two white flowers that emerge per bud. Many green buds but nothing opens up to the wonderful white snowball. There aren't any spots on the leaves and it appears to be healthy. The first owner kept up with pruning, fertilizing. She bought two at the same time and the other one is out of this world in beauty. Blooms, Blooms, Blooms. Two plants, same location, one buds, one doesn't.

My question is...what the heck is going on. How, do I get this beautiful bush to bloom for me?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.
