I want to know more of the story. I visited Montserrat but it was late and the tours stopped. I hope to go back next week while I'm here. The image of Mother Mary was converted to the carvings or did this statue appear miraculously. Why couldn't the monks move it. I only saw the statue of Mary in the church is this not the original? I haven't made it to the grotto yet.
