I threw the shot and disc years ago but have been coaching for the last several years. It amazes me how poorly high school throwers "throw" the shot.They really don't PUTT it at all! I remember being disqualified if the shot was "thrown" away from the neck, elbow down. One boy today did not even tuck it into his neck at all and yet nothing was said. Where can I find clear regulations on this. If this bad throwing is continued these kids are going to be injured.
