I seem to feel physical sensations (emotional, goosebumps), in response to this certian type of vocal harmony, the style of Patty Griffin, again with Julie Miller (like 'I Still Cry' now it's 'Don't Say Goodbye') Patty softly and sparingly weaves a complimentary low drone harmony, subduded mysterious vibrations, usually in chorus of LoFi melancholy type songs.
Similar to:(A.Garfunkle-'Sounds of Silence', D.Crosby-early Byrds-'8 Miles High' 'Helplessly Hoping', Bodeans-'All I Ever Wanted', Bon Iver, Webbs Sisters w/L.Cohen, Be Good Tanyas, Beatles & Everly Bros.)
Is there a term to discribe this harmony, how is it shown in written music, is it a formula that fits transposition?
It's an alluring, magical sound to me, I'd be grateful for any imput or links to access info. Thanks BillyOak
