I remember the wind blowing at about 100 mph (east to west) at my home in Harriman N.Y. from noon till 1 pm. My cousin tells me that I must be wrong. Can anybody help me?

(regarding hurricane Gloria '85) I remember the wind blowing at about 100 mph (east to west) at my home in Harriman N.Y.
