I recently was fortunate enough to find a M1905 bayonet at an antique store. The blade is 16" long, the scabbarad is an olive drab/green hard plastic, with USN, MK1 on the scabbard. The bayonet itself has US on it along with the serial number, on the opposite side of the blade, S A, the year 1920 and a symbol which looks like a flaming cannon ball. Can anyone give me any information on the bayonet? It fits my M-1 Garand and my 1903A1.
