I recently obtained a Browning 12 gauge A-5 shotgun with two barrels, and I am wondering what the chokes are. One barrel has one star on it (*) and the other has two stars (**). Can anyone tell me what chokes these are, i.e. full, modified, etc?

I think your correct, I know the *s do stand for which choke the brl. is. Try gunsamerica.com They could answer the ? for sure.
Just want to know does your a-5 have any engraving on the receiver? I have one w/two brls. one is full choke and the other a cyl bore (no choke at all) like sawed off. The word "full" & "cyl" are stamped on the barrels along with the last few digits of the S/N. This gun was made in 1934 and I'm told it was actually made by Remington for Browning.
