I recently acquired a silk jockey shirt in a shadow box and I want to find out what jockey it belonged to.

I have heard that the design of the shirt is distinct to the rider/stable so based on what I have, how can I figure out its history?

It is royal blue with a gold "bow tie" at the collar and three matching gold diamonds going down the shirt on each side (6 in all).

On the wearer's right side there is a black diamond with a vertical white strip in the middle of it that is placed between the top two gold diamonds on that side. A matching black diamond w/ the white vertical strip is on the top part of the (wearer's) right sleeve.

Obviously I know almost nothing about this stuff, so forgive me if I'm not using the correct termonolgy. My buddy things its from the 30's or 40's if that helps at all.

If you might have an idea as to the origins of this shirt or know where I might be able to easily look it up, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!
