I purchased a home in Murrieta, California.
We exposed an existing architectural fence next to the property that is attached to the house. The HOA stated the rod iron fence had never been architecturally applied for and asked that we apply for it. Reluctantly we applied and were denied.
The house was built in 2003 and we all think that all three gates were installed shortly thereafter.
What is my recourse, since we clearly think that it was not our fault that this issue wasn't brought up to the board prior to us purchasing the home.
This gate adds value to the home and it's beyond me, that they would rather see the block wall that sits behind it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
