I notice many eastern grey squirrels in my area that appear to be licking the street pavement. I verified this action by observing from a very close distance.
I at first thought they were getting the residual road salt but we have had so much rain that this didn't seem possible.
There are no seeds or mosture on the rosd that I can see.
Can anyone provide an explanation for this behavior?
