I lost power while driving my 1988 vw vanagon on the hyway, currently it won't start. i have replaced the spark plugs and the wires. also i replaced the air filter. does anyone know what might be causing this?

Check the ignition coil for proper voltage, if it is weak replace with a new one.The ignition module should be checked as well.to find parts go to www.rockauto.com or www.partsgeek.com/vanagon................
